Born about 1847 in Buchanan, New South Wales, baptised 3 October 1847 St Josephs RC East Maitland: 'Timothy', son of Edmond Tyne (farmer of Buchanan) and Mary Daly.[1]
Although baptised Timothy, he was more generally known as Edward. He was 'Edward' when he married in 1876. He was 'Timothy E' Tyne in the birth certificate of son John Dennis in 1887. Note he had a brother called Edward who was born in 1860.
Marriage 8 May 1876 Kempsey, New South Wales. Edward Tyne and Catherine Gertrude Boshell, married at the bridegroom's residence Kempsey: Edward resident Kempsey, Catherine Gertrude residence East Kempsey. Birthplaces and parents' names not given.

He was a farmer at 'Stony Flat', Pee Dee.
Shortly before his death, he retired to 35 Tozer Street, West Kempsey.
