Biography

Ethel May Box, daughter of James Henry Box and Alice Minnie Cheal, ^[1] was born on 29 May 1906 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. ^[1][2][3][4] Her first marriage was to James C. Hughes in about November 1929, their marriage was registered in Elham, Kent. ^[5] She then married John E. Allen in about August 1970, their marriage was registered in Folkestone, Kent. ^[6] She died in February 1992, her death was registered in Kent. ^[4]

Residence
On 2 April 1911 in Ramsgate, Kent, with her parents James Henry Box and Alice Minnie Box, her sisters Alice Rose Box aged 8, Elsie Mary Box aged 6 and Gwendoline Minnie Box aged 2 and a boarder Samuel Field aged 65. ^[1]

On 29 September 1939 at 25 Darlington Street, Folkestone, Kent, with her first husband James C. Hughes and their children. ^[3]
