Elizabeth, child of Nathan Eckersley and Mary Eckersley, was baptised on 26 September 1813 in Eccles, Lancashire, England.[1]
Elizabeth married John Pollitt on 19 November 1832 in Manchester, St Mary, St Denys and St George.[2]
In the 1851 census Elizabeth (age 36) was the wife of John Pollitt in Runcorn, Cheshire, England.[3]
Elizabeth's death (age 45) was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1853 in the Runcorn district.[4]
Research Notes
Son William's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1845 in the The Runcorn Union district. (Mother's maiden name: Eckersley).[5]
After Elizabeth's death, her husband remarried. His second wife was a widow named Elizabeth Eckersley. Her father's name was Peter Leigh and on her first marriage her father-in-law was Nathan Eckersley. It seems that both Elizabeth and her brother, Joseph, died early and their widowed partners, John and Elizabeth (nee Leigh) married each other.
No death registration has been found which would match Elizabeth's age but the Runcorn registration is the closest and the she was living there on the 1851 census.
