The name of the first wife of William Allen was Ellen.[1] She was previously married to John Pond of East Burnham, Buckinghamshire by whom she had five children. John Pond was buried on 14 June 1573; his will named his wife and five children.

Ellen Allen. Baptized 7 February 1579/80 at Burnham. Named in her father's will in 1589. She married Peter Montague.
Catherine Allen. Baptized 25 April 1582 at Burnham. Catherine was buried 15 May 1582.
Death
Buried: 11 March 1586/7 in Burnham.
