Biography

Jacob Uppelin was born in the Finnish congregation of Stockholm 27 January 1780 to the carpenter Jacob Uppelin and his wife Anna Jacobsdotter.[1]

According to the household record Jacob Jacobsson was born in Stockholm 1779. He was fostered with Olof Larsson in Myskje and his wife Brita Persdotter. He arrived in 1786, and his birth name was Jacob Uppelin.[2]

Jacob Jacobsson in Myskje married Anna Larsdotter from Sund 26 October 1806.[3][4] Their first child was daughter Brita. Son Olof, born in 1810, died when he was two years old.[5] Brita drowned in 1820.[6]

So there were five sons in the family: Lars (1812), Olof (1814), Jacob (1817), Anders (1821) and Swen (1824).[7][8][9]

Eldest son, Lars Jacobsson married and took over as head of household about 1845.[10] Jacob became blind in his old age.[11] He died 10 January 1857.[12]
