Johannes Franciscus van Parijs was born on 4 February 1842 in IJzendijke, Zeeland, Nederland, son of Jacobus Bernardus Van Parijs (1810–1848) and Janneke Dees (1816–1903).
John (26) married Catharina Josina Hiefkens (22) (born on 23 September 1845 in Hoofdplaat, Zeeland) on 7 May 1868 in Hoofdplaat, Zeeland, Netherlands. Their children were:
- Petrus van Parijs (1871– )
- Johanna van Parijs (1874– )
John passed away on 20 November 1910 in Port Gibson, Ontario, New York, United States, aged 68.[1][2]
