Biography

He was the son of Alewijn van Rijsoord and Beatrix van der Merwede. He passed away about 1410.

Jacob van Rijsoord was mentioned in May 9,1390 in a regard to a property that previously belonged to his father Heer Alewijn van Rijsoord. Stating: Jacob van Rijsoord zoals Alewijn, zijn vader.[1]

Jacob van Rijsoord is listed as one of the knights particiapting in the battle of Kuinre in 1396, therefore his coat of arms is included in the wapenboek van Beyeren.[2]
