Birth 1757 • Lindfield, Sussex, England
Baptism: 7 November 1757 • Lindfield, Sussex, England. The register recorded that her parents were George and Mary Vandyke.[1]
Marriage: Mary Vandyke and Stephen Balcombe married on 25 May 1777 at Rottingdean, Sussex, England. The register recorded that they were bachelor and spinster, and they both signed their names.[2] Banns had been read on 4 May, 11 May and 18 May.[3]
They had children:
- William Tomset Balcombe, b.1777 d.1829
- Stephen Balcombe, b.1780 d.1818
- Thomas Balcombe b.abt.1784 d.1784
Marriage: Mary Balcombe married Charles Terry on 25 December 1788 at Rottingdean, Sussex, England. They were bachelor and widow, and married by licence.[4]
Death: Mary Terry died in May 1818. She was buried at Winchelsea, Sussex, her age recorded as 60.[5][6] Her husband Charles Terry had died in January 1818 at Winchelsea, Sussex.[7]
