Simon was born about 1730. This is a guess.
Research Notes
No Schenectady baptism found for Simon. His brother Hendricus has a confirmed baptism 21 Feb, 1725, with a birth date of Jan 20. making the 11 Nov 1724 date for Simon impossible. Changing date to 1730, which better fits the parent's child bearing pattern and which falls in a period when church records are damaged or missing,
SIMON, son of Helmers, m. first, Elisabeth, dau. of Johannes Bancker, Sept. 25, 1755; secondly, Margarita Pootman about 1783, Ch. bp: Helmer, Feb. 1, 1756; Helmer, Feb. 11, 1759; Magdalena, March 4, 1764; Johannes, Oct. 12; 1766; Simon, July 10, 1774; Elisabeth, b. April 1, 1784.[1]
