Etienne Veillon was born about 1797 in Louisiana to Sylvain Veillon and Marguerite Eulalie de St. Germain. He served in the War of 1812 in the Louisiana Militia during the Battle of New Orleans in 1815.^[1][2]

In 1816 he married Maria Solis, daughter of Jose Solis and Antonia Perez at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.^{[citation needed]} Children of the marriage were:

He died on 21 Feb 1837 at 2 p.m. and was buried on 22 Feb 1837 at the St. Bernard Cemetery.^{[citation needed]}
