Biography

William Vernon was born in 1828 in Liverpool Lancashire England. ^[1] the son of John Vernon. ^[2]

He married Mary Pye on 6 August 1849 in Warrington, Lancashire. ^[2]

In 1851 he was living with his wife and son in Warrington. He was a waterman. ^[3]

In 1871 he was on a vessel called "The Weaver", moored at Bank Quay, Warrington. He was the ship's master; his son James was the mate. ^[4]
