William Vousden was born in Brenchley, Kent, England.
William Vousden was born on or before the day of his baptism on the 1st February 1857, in Brenchley, Kent, England, the son of John Vousden and Mary Hysted.[1]
On the 7th April 1861, William (4) was living on Castle Hill, Brenchley, with his family. Home at the time were his father: John (39), an agricultural labourer; his mother: Mary (42); and his sister: 1-year-old Louisa.[2]
On the 2nd April 1871, William (14), an agricultural labourer, was living with his family at 83 Castle Hill, Brenchley. Those also home at the time were his father: John (46), an agricultural labourer; his mother: Mary (48); and his sister: 11-year-old Louisa, a scholar.[3]
William Vousden migrated from Kent, England to Queensland, Australia.
At some point, apparently alone, William packed up and emigrated to the Colonies, ending up in the Toowoomba region of Queensland.
William and Annie Christina Sailer were married on the 8th October 1877, in Queensland.[4]
William Vousden passed away on the 21st April 1878, in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia,[5] and was interred in the Toowoomba and Drayton Cemetery, Toowoomba.[6]
Some three months after his death, Annie gave birth to his child, a daughter Annie named Anna Maria. Sadly, little Anna Maria lived only eleven days.
