Note: 1995: Suddenly on October 24, 1995, Gustav R. Waechter passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 49. He leaves to cherish his memory two loving daughters, Gillian and Heidi (Gerald) Plouffe and only granddaughter Emily;. mother Irene and brother Fred, and companion Gail, as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his one brother Rolf and father Gustav Sr. Gustav was born in Valdorf, Germany on February 1, 1946 and immigrated to Canada in 1958 to Emerson, moving to Winnipeg in 1963. Gus was a very conscientious worker for the City of Winnipeg for the past 25 years, and a very devoted father. ^[1]
