Floyd was born in 1918 to Frank Waechter and Juliana Weber[1]. He married Viola Neal on 22 April 1944,[2]at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church, by the Rev. D. F. DeCoursey at Keswick. He had 6 siblings.[3]He spent his life farming in the Sigourney area. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic church in Sigourney. They had 6 children, 2 were stillborn.

He passed away in 1984 and is buried in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.[4]
