Warren Alton Walker was born on 26 August 1887 in Day Township, Montcalm, Michigan, United States to William Baty Walker and Catherine Toner. ^[1]

Warren married Lavona Emaline Reed on 29 December 1909 in Montcalm, Michigan, United States. He was 22, and she was 18. ^[2]

In 1910, Warren and Lavona lived in Ionia, Ionia, Michigan, United States. ^[3]

On 5 June 1917, Warren signed a draft registration card for World War I. At the time, he was self-employed as a farmer. He claimed exemption due to "grain rupture." He was described as short and of medium build with blue eyes and brown hair. ^[4]
