Catherine married Jesse Archie Shaffer (born on 17 Feb 1892 in Keya Paha, Nebraska, United States). Their known children were:

1. Donna Ilene Shaffer (1927–1996)
2. Zeola Dell Shaffer (1929–2001)

In 1940, Catherine (47) was living in Mountain View Election Precinct, Bonner, Idaho. ^[2]

Catherine passed away on 12 Dec 1973 in Bonner County, Idaho, aged 80. She is commemorated at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Sandpoint, Bonner County, Idaho.^[1]
