John Warner, 83 of Post Oak, died at 8:18 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. John was born on April 14, 1929 the son of William Ray and Sarah E. (Dial) Warner. He married Donna S. Sefton on Novemeber 24, 1946 at Sefton and she preceded him on August 19,2005.
John was a retired lineman from Southwestern Electric. He was an avid bicyclist, hunter, fisherman, gardener, trap shooter, and mushroom hunter. John was an exceptionally gifted electrician, mechanic, welder and carpenter. John could always be counted on to devise a creative solution for any problem.
In addistion to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lewis Clark, Ralph Warner, Richard Warner, Henry Warner, and Harry Warner; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial: Post Oak Cemetery, Avena, Fayette, IL
