Biography
John Waterhouse was born in Yorkshire, England.
This profile is part of the Eastrington, Yorkshire One Place Study.
At the time of the 1871 census John lodged in South Milford, Yorkshire, with the Wilkinson family. He worked as a maltster's labourer.[4] In 1881 John and his sister, Elizabeth, lived in Hull, Yorkshire, with their aunt, Sarah Kay.[5]
John married Charlotte Dawson in 1884.[6] By 1891 the couple lived in Whitwood, Yorkshire, and John was a glass maker's labourer.[7][8]
Charlotte died in 1908 at the age of 60.[9] In 1911 John remained in Whitwood and worked as a farm labourer.[10]
