Biography

Joel was born in 1794. He was the son of Robert Watkins and Fanny Morton.

Joel married Judith Daniel on 19 Feb 1818 in Mecklenburg, Virginia

In 1821 he was enrolled in Hampden Sydney College living in Charlotte at time [1]This is where the Union Theological Seminary is located.

In 1835 he was enrolled in University of North Carolina [2] and in 1836 [3]

He may have died while attending college in North Carolina and that may be why he is buried there. I have no record of him actually dying in his hometown Mecklenburg, Virginia

He passed away in 1836 and he is buried at Mount Auburn Christian Church located in Manson, Warren, North Carolina [4]
