Clive Newton 'Bardie' Wawn was born on 5th November 1910 in Balwyn, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of Royle Newton Wawn and Lucy Syme. [1]
On 23rd June 1940 Clive was commissioned in the Royal Australian Air Force for service during the Second World War. He served in No.75 Squadron, flying P-40 Kittyhawks, at Milne Bay in August 1942. [2]
Clive married Isabel Alderton in 1944 in Victoria. [3]
His final posting was to No.2 Operational Training Unit before being demobilised from the RAAF on 1st July 1947 with the rank of Flight Lieutenant. [2]
