Although the weather was far from pleasant yesterday afternoon, the interior of the Buffet was all excitement. Enquiry elicited the news that Mr Horace Dudding was about to join the ranks of the benedicts. At 3 o’clock in the afternoon the Rev. Harris, of the Primitive Methodist Church united in the bonds of matrimony Mr Horace Dudding, third son of Mr Chas. Dudding, of the Buffet, to Miss May Wealleans, of Awahuria. The ceremony took place at the residence of the bridegroom’s parents. The happy couple left in the evening for their home in Rangatara Road, amid the usual shower of rice and good wishes. I join their many friends in wishing them long life and happiness.
She died about 1955 aged 76 years old. [4]
