Biography

Albert was born about 1842 in Erie County, New York. He was the brother of Irene Weatherwax.^[1] He appears in the census in 1850, 1855, 1860 living with his sister and her husband Sylvester Wheelock in Erie County, New York.^[2]

Albert enlisted in the military 26 July 1862 and served in the 116th Regiment, New York Infantry, Company I during the Civil War and mustered out on 08 Jun 1865 at Washington, DC.^[3]

Albert is the 1870 Census living in Baltimore, Maryland. possibly with his wife Mary (b. 1851-1852 in Virginia) and son, Henry, (b 1869 in Maryland). He was granted a pension in 1879, and the pension file indicates he changed is name to "Weatherman."^[4]

Albert died 22 Sep 1913 at the age of 71.^[5]
