WEDDING REPORT. BAREETT-LENNARD— WEAVER. The marriage of Miss Dora Weaver to Mr Dacre Barrett-Lennard was solemnized at St Mary's Anglican Church by Canon Elphick on Tuesday last at 6 p.m. In the absence of her father, Mr J D Weaver, the bride was given away by her brother, Mr J C Weaver. Mr Jack Thomas acted as best man. Despite the sultry weather the bride looked cool and sweet in her simply cut gown of white lace. The matron-of-honor, Mrs W Williamson, and the two little bridesmaids, Laurie and Robyn Weaver, were also dressed in white, their soft georgette dresses looking very charming. After the wedding ceremony the bridal party received their guests at the reception in the Lesser Hall. Mrs Weaver wore a softly draped georgette frock of petunia, with a black hat and black accessories. Mrs Barrett-Lennard wore a delphinium dress cut on Grecian lines, with a navy hat and navy accessories. Many friends and relatives gathered to toast the bridal couple and despite the heat all were in high spirits. The chairman, Canon Elphick, at times had trouble to restore order. During the evening the bridal party drove out to visit the bride's father, who was unable to be present owing to ill-health. They later returned to the hall to say farewell before leaving by car for their honeymoon. The bride's travelling frock of powder blue was very graceful and girlish. She wore a navy hat with accessories. Amid showers of confetti and much horse-play they'drove off. Mrs Gwen Collins iced the wedding cake with her usual skill and artistry and friends decorated the church and hall with flowers. Mr and Mrs Dacre Barrett-Lennard received many beautiful gifts and numerous cheques.
