Roy Webb was born 1904 at Yarraville, Victoria.[1][2]
In 1931 Roy Webb was recorded on the Australian Electoral Roll as a bread carter living at Springvale Road, Springvale. At the same addess were Eliza Amelia Webb (his mother), Richard Aust Webb, baker (his father), Charles Webb, electrical fitter (his brother).[3]
Roy Webb is a Military Veteran. Served in the 2nd Australian Imperial Force 1940-1943 2/29th Aust. Infantry Battalion
Roy Webb enlisted in the Australian army on 17 July 1940. He was then living at Carnegie, Victoria.[2]

Private Roy Webb died as a Prisoner of War in a Japanese camp during World War II.
He died on 6 October 1943 in Thailand as a prisoner of war; his cause of death was said to be beriberi, a deficiency of thiamin, more commonly known as vitamin B1.[5] At the time of his death he was serving with the 2/29 Australian Infantry Battalion.[2] He is buried at Thanbyuzayat, Myanmar.[6]
