'Samuel (Sam) Weinstein (Weston) was an actor, producer and director of films and television shows. While under his real name Sam Weston he played small parts in "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" Green Acres" and "That Girl. In 1958, he produced a Western film "Gun Fever". Then in 1964, he produced "One Potota, Two Potato" staring Barbara Barrie and Bernie Hamilton. This film was produced in Painsville, Ohio. Barbara Barrie won as Best Actress award at the Cannes Festival in a tie with Anne Bancroft in "The Pumpkin Eater". The film was nominated for Best Original Screenplay but lost to "Father Goose". Later in his career he produced and directed scores of pornographic films, under the name Anthony Spinelli. He occasionally also appeared in non-sex roles, usually uncredited.
Early life
Samuel (Sam) Weinstein son of Morris Weinsteinand Anna was born on 21 February 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. [1]
In the 1930 and 1940 censuses, Sam was living with his parents and his brother Jack on Hampden Street and Barrett Street in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States.[2][3]
Sam died (age 73) on 29 May 2000 residing in Los Angeles, California.[5]
Research Notes
In several sources it reads that he changed his name like brother Jack to Weston. In many sources he is married to Roslyn Gold. I couldn't confirm it yet with a marriage record. There are sources for his many porn movies and awards but not adding them to this bio
