Biography
Rachel, daughter of Alexr. Weir, was baptised on 12 July 1820 in Daviot, Aberdeen, Scotland.[1]
In the 1841 census Ratchel (age 20) was in Hillhead Of Lethenty, Chapel of Garioch, Aberdeenshire.[2]
Rachel married James Cruickshank on 30 May 1844 in Inverurie, Aberdeen, Scotland.[3]
In the 1851 census Ratchel (age 30), Saddler's Wife, was the wife of James Cruickshank on High Street, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.[4]
In the 1861 census Ratchel (age 40) was the wife of James Cruickshank in Newton, Turriff, Aberdeenshire.[5]
In the 1871 census Rachel (age 50) was the wife of James Cruickshank at 5 North Street, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.[6]
Rachel died on 18 Sep 1784, in Invernurie, she was married to James Cruickshan, retired saddler and aged 53. Her parents noted as Alexander Weir, farmer and Jane Weir ms Runcieman both deceased. The informant was J Cruikshank , widower and he was present at his wife' s death. This was registered in 1874 in the Inverurie district.[7]
