Biography
Elizabeth Wells was born on 05 Sep 1872 at Wellington, Menifee, Kentucky, a child of Edmund Wells and Gabriella Spencer. She married William Henry Griffey on 2 Oct 1889 at Menifee county. [1] The marriage record indicated that William's last name was Griffith. The last name was likely changed to Griffey sometime after their marriage. Note that William's father was Hiram Griffith.
They are referenced in the death certificate of their son, Edmond Clarence Griffey. [2]
Elizabeth died on 19 May 1916 at Frenchburg, Menifee county of "Rubeola (Measles)". She was buried on 20 May 1916 at Wellington, Menifee county, KY. in the Oliver Perry Wells Cemetery. [3]
