Virginia West was born in 1891 in Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas, United States, daughter of Solomon West (1856–1924) and Sylvia Robinson (1857–1918). Virginia died on 2 Sep 1914 in Emporia, aged 22. [1]
Virginia was a natire of Emporia, Kansas and had attended Emporia schools.
Having given her life to Christ at early age, she was a lifelong and faithful member of Church of God.[1]
In the 1900 census Lettice (age 8) was the daughter of Soloman West in Emporia Ward 3, Lyon, Kansas.[2]

Those left to mourn the loss of Virginia were her parents, Soloman & Sylvia, 3 sisters, Rose, Elizabeth and Harriett (Hattie), 6 brothers, Augustus, Fred, John, William, Grant and Louis.[1]
