Research Records

  • The two sources listed under his military service have been the only ones that I have located. A contract surgeon was a civilian hired by the government to serve. There is an interesting article written about contract surgeons. [3]. Apparently the research for a contract surgeon's records can be a "challenge" as he was not an official member of the service. There are a number of other sites that tell about the contract surgeons. BJS
