Gloria Faye Fannon, 74, passed away on March 4, 2006 in Lubbock. Gloria was born on July 3, 1931 in Runnels County, Texas to Joe Leonard Wheat, Sr. and Nina Jennings. She married William Clinton (Clint) Fannon on Dec. 25, 1948, at Redwine, Texas. She and Clint lived in Plainview a little over 19 years before moving to Shallowater in 1980.

Gloria was a seamstress and enjoyed her volunteer work with the Meals on Wheels in Shallowater. Gloria was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Juanita Ann Wheat, Jackie O'Neal Wheat, John Barron Wheat, Norman Rudolph Wheat and Jeanell Young. Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, Clint Fannon of Shallowater; two sons, Larry Fannon of Bastrop and Lyn Fannon of Fritch; two daughters, Kathy Gray of Littlefield and Barbara Geffken of Midland; one brother, Joe Leonard Wheat, Jr. of Breckenridge; three sisters, Billie McDonald of Sanderson, Jerry Rogers and Sue Williams ofLubbock; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Monday, March 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock. Interment will follow at the O'Donnell Cemetery.
