Biography

Thomas was born about 1664, Stratford, Connecticut, and baptized on 16 February 1672/73, Milford, Connecticut, as son of "sister Brooks". He is often called Thomas Jr. to distinguished him from his older cousin Thomas Wheeler (apparently the one who married Anna French). The name of his wife was Mary. He passed away after November 10, 1729, Durham, Connecticut, on which date he conveyed land to his son Job.

(1) As stated in the biography, he is not the Thomas Wheeler who married Anna French (so she has been removed here). She married an older Thomas Wheeler (Wheeler-4423).

(2) If Abigail (b. November 1683) is his daughter by Mary Miner, then his marriage to Mary Miner presumably occurred earlier than that date.

(3) Mary (Miner) Wheeler is said to have died in 1705 (but have been unable to find good source for that). In any case, Phebe Wheeler (born 1712) is said to be daughter of Thomas Wheeler and Phebe (so perhaps Thomas married that Phebe between 1705 and 1712).
