Biography

John was born in 1898. John is the child of Rudkin White and Molly Mahoney. ^[1] Jack liked using Hannan as his middle name and also would make his birth date younger. He had a beautiful baritone singing voice.

He signed up for WW1, boarded a ship the SS Carpentaria and thankfully the war ended before he got there.^[2][3][4]

He signed up again for WW2 and was sent to PNG where he contracted Buergers disease and was sent home. ^[5]He lost the tips of his fingers and toes and had his right lower leg amputated from this disease. He had a wooden leg that made him walk with a particular gait because of the way he had to throw his wooden leg forwards.
