Biography

Annie Norine was born in 1909 or 1910. She is the daughter of Henry Whiteside and Elizabeth Craig. Birth record for Annie Norine Whiteside in Q3 1909 in Downpatrick Registration district seems to be her. Family tree drawn up by my father Edgar Jenks, her first cousin, had her birth date as 20th August 1910. As his birthday was 13th August I think he probably got the day and month right but made a mistake with the year so I am assuming 1909. Family records suggest she was born in Ballynahinch, which is in County Down,

Norine was married to Norman Pointing at Barton upon Irwell in 1940, and they had two children.
