Margaret was born on April 23, 1823, in Ayrshire, Scotland, the daughter of William and Margaret (Samson) Whitfield, and died on August 18, 1904, in Douds, Iowa.
Margaret married Alexander Findlay, the son of Hugh and Jean (Campbell) Findlay in April 22, 1841, in Mount Savage, Maryland.
She is buried at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Douds, Van Buren County, Iowa.
