Biography
Mary Whittredge and her twin, Joseph, were baptized together on 14 Jan 1776, at The Hamlet Parish Church in Ipswich, Massachusetts.[1]
Mary married Daniel Wheeler of Gloucester on 15 Dec 1796, at the Congregational Church in Hamilton.[2]
Mary and Daniel lived in Gloucester, where Daniel became "Captain Daniel Wheeler" by 1820, when they adopted Daniel Tuttle as their son. The transcribed records are unclear whether Daniel was born or adopted on 24 Jan 1820.[3] According to Captain Daniel Wheeler's will, Daniel Tuttle became Daniel Wheeler Tuttle. They also adopted a second son, also named Daniel Wheeler. They apparently had no other children.[4]
Mary Whittredge Wheeler died on 21 Aug 1840, in Gloucester.[5]
