In 1861, Charles was a Lieutenant in the Army and based in Essex.[1]
On 20 July 1871 he married Gertrude Minna M Schiell in Arbirlot, Angus, Scotland and had issue.[2][3]
In 1881, Charles was living with his wife and two children in Paddington. He was a Lieutenant-Colonel, retired from the 6th Foot.[4]
Charles died in Middlesex on 7 March 1889.
