Biography

Charles Whyte was born in 1836 in Limerick. He was the son of Charles Whyte and Rose Dartnell.

In 1861, Charles was a Lieutenant in the Army and based in Essex.^[1]

On 20 July 1871 he married Gertrude Minna M Schiell in Arbirlot, Angus, Scotland and had issue.^[2][3]

In 1881, Charles was living with his wife and two children in Paddington. He was a Lieutenant-Colonel, retired from the 6th Foot.^[4]

Charles died in Middlesex on 7 March 1889.
