William Widdowson (age 21, residing at Porter, son of George Widdowson) and Mary Ann Tustin (age 19, residing at Coal Pit Lane, daughter of Joseph Tustin) were married on 23 Dec 1850 at the Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Paul in Sheffield, Yorkshire.[6] The marriage was registered in Sheffield in the last quarter of the year.[7]

William is listed as a widower on the 1901 census, but no record of Mary's death has been located. As they didn't live together in 1891, is it possible that they had actually separated?
