Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1790. She passed away in 1847.
"The east half of Lot 2, Concession 7 has been occupied by six generations of Jacob McKay's descendants since he purchased the land from the Canada Company in 1830. A native of the United States of Scottish parentage, Jacob came to Canada about 1801, when he purchased Lot 3, Concession 3 of York Township and married Elizabeth Wilcox. All his children were born there: Margaret (Mrs. Edward Bull), Nancy, Hannah (Mrs. Peter Milne), Elizabeth (Mrs. Matthew Parsons), William, and Caroline (Mrs. Joseph Watson). Later they moved to Lot 1, Concession 7 of Vaughan, where he remained until his death in 1851." [1]
