Biography
John Robert Francis Wild was born April 18, 1873 in Yorkshire, England. A child of Benjamin and Mary Wild[1].
He spent time aboard The Steam Yacht Aurora 1876 - 1917 working for the Australasian Antarctic Expedition under Sir Douglas Mawson.
Frank married Vera A Altman in 1922 in Reading, England[2].
Frank married Beatrice Lydia Rhys Rowbotham March 18, 1931 in Johannesburg, South Africa[3].
Frank died August 19, 1939 in Klerksdorp, Traansval, South Africa[4]. He is commemorated at the Norwegian Lutheran Church Cemetery on the island of South Georgia[5].
