Alexander Wildey was a printer - his company Alex Wildey Ltd was on 1-7 Victoria Street, Christchurch. In Papers Past 19 December 1922 there was a fire that gutted Lutjohann & co billard table factory and did extensive damage to the printing works of Alex Wildey Ltd on Victoria St. Insurance total of 7600 pounds
Alex worked at the Government Printing Works in Wellington until about 1920 when they shifted to 52 Antigua Street, Christchurch. His parents lived at 41 Antigua Street. Alex took over the Printing works on the corner of Victoria Street and Victoria Square, about 1921.
