== Biography ==research notes: Born 25 October 1875 at District Yankalilla (Rapid Bay?) Grew up on family farm near Curramulka on Yorke Peninsula. In 1896, when he was 21 y/o, he moved with his family to to Gibson Peninsula near Streaky Bay on West Coast of SA. George married Maggie May Gardner (who he would have known from Minlaton YP) in 1901. They made their home on Gibson Peninsula where George farmed with his family. They had children; Eva May b1904 Dist. Flinders married Gilby Roy Smart 1925, Frank George b1906 Dist. Flinders married Theodora Adam 1931,Roma Mary b 1912 Dist. Flinders married William H Crowther 1934, Clarice b1916 Dist. Flinders married Leslie Cook 1940. In 1922, George moved to "Poldinna Farm" at Minippa. He died at Streaky Bay in 1964 and was buried at Streaky Bay Cemetery.
