Biography

George Williams was born in about 1843 at Leafield in Oxfordshire. He was the son of Jeremiah Williams and his wife Maria, born Anna Maria Pratley. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]}

In 1851 George Williams was living at Leafield with his mother Maria and her other children. His age was given as 8, implying a birth date in 1842 or 1843. His birthplace was given as Leafield, Oxfordshire. ^[2]

In 1861 George was living in Lower End in Leafield with his parents, Jeremiah and Mariah, and his brother Augustin. His age was given as 17, implying a birth date in 1843 or 1844. His birthplace was given as Leafield. He was a labourer. ^[3]
