Biography

Joseph, son of Reuben Williamson & Charlotte, was baptised on 5 September 1830 in Mowsley, Leicestershire, England ^[1]. He was an agricultural labourer who took on being one of the lock-keepers at Foxton Locks and later became a farmer at Newton Harcourt.

In the 1841 census Joseph (age 10) was in Mowsley, Knaptoft parish, Leicestershire ^[2].

Joseph (age 22), son of Reuben Williamson, married Ann Driver (age 19) on 9 December 1850 in Wistow, Leicestershire ^[3].

In the 1851 census Joseph (age 21), labourer, was a married patient in Leicester Infirmary Square, St Marys, Leicester, Leicestershire ^[4].

In the 1861 census Joseph (age 32), agricultural labourer, was with his wife Ann in Kibworth Beauchamp, Leicestershire ^[5].

In the 1881 census Joseph (age 51), was a lock-keeper on the canal at Foxton, Leicestershire ^[6].

In the 1891 census Joseph (age 61) was farming at Newton Harcourt, Leicestershire ^[7].
