Biography

Caroline (Willis) Howie was born in the Colony of Queensland (1859-1900)

Caroline May (Willis) Howie was born on 31 Dec 1898 in Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia[1], daughter of William Albert Willis (~1877 - 1923) and Edith Ann (Carroll) Willis (1877 - 1940).

Caroline married James Seaman Robertson Howie (1897 - 1985) on 14 Feb 1925 in Merinda, Queensland.[2] [3]

Their children were:

  1. Ethel Jean (Howie) McAuliffe (1925 - 2011)
  2. Gordon Matthew Howie (1932 - 2008).

Caroline and James lived in Merinda for the remainder of their lives. [4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]

Caroline died on 25 Feb 1963 in Bowen, Queensland aged 64.[16] Caroline is buried in Bowen General Cemetery, Bowen. [17]
