Alonzo was born in 1839 to Benjamin H. Willits and Mary Jane Rudesill. Alonzo enlisted in Company I of the 103rd OVI on 11 Aug 1862 and mustered out with the company on 12 Jun 1865. Alonzo married Philinda M. Hall on 7 Sep 1865 in Medina, Ohio. He was a Farmer in Granger, Ohio and later a Carpenter in Portage and Akron, Ohio. He passed away in 1919.
