Biography

The son of William H. Wilson and Srilda Jane Hurley, James General Wilson was born on 10 Apr 1901 in East Lynn, Wayne County, West Virginia. [1] [2] [3]

In May 1910, James was 9 years old, living in Rome Township, Lawrence County, Ohio with his mother Srilda Jane (Hurley) Justice, stepfather James J Turner, and half-brother Carl Burton Turner.

He married Chrystena Bolen (1906-1962) in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia on 26 Apr 1924. He was 23; she was 16. [4] Their children:

  • Betty Louise (Wilson) Leech
  • Charles Edward Wilson

James is described as a white male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 118 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and a light complexion. [5]

In Oct 1959, James was living in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. He was the informant identified on his mother's death certificate.

James passed away in Lavalette, Wayne County, West Virginia on 13 Dec 1962 at age 61. He is buried in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Barboursville, Cabell County, West Virginia. [6] [7]

James' Last Will and Testament dated 22 Sep 1962 was filed and probate opened in Cabell County, West Virginia on 19 Dec 1962. According to his Will, his daughter Betty was living in Iowa, but the whereabouts of his son Charles was unknown. In 1940, Charles is 13 years old. By 1945, he would have been 18 and was likely drafted. It is probable that he killed in action while serving in the military during WWII.
