Biography

Louisa was born in October of 1830 in New Hampshire, the daughter of Jonathan Wingate.

She married in 1853 to Charles A. Mooney in Boston, Massachusetts. By 1860, she was living in Somersworth, New Hampshire at the home of parents Jonathan and Mehitable Wingate, with her 6 year old daughter Mehitable Mooney. She was working as a dresser. Her husband is not of the household. By 1870, the family was living together in Malden, Massachusetts, where Charles was a paper hanger.

After Charles's death, Louisa was a canvasser in Malden (1900-1902). The 1900 census incorrectly states that she had no children.

Louisa died in 1918. She was buried at the Salem Street Cemetery in Malden.
