Marie Kamilla Ella Wintersberger was born in Austria on October 6th 1889. She was the daughter of Joseph Wintersberger and Theresia Rieger. The family was Roman Catholic. Ella was baptised in Prambachkirchen on October 12th 1889.
Ella's father Josef died in 1905. His widow remarried a gentleman called Luschka, and together with her four daughters moved to Vienna. In 1913 they were living at Ebendorferstrasse 3, Vienna I.
On November 18th 1914, Ella married Dr jur. Philipp Landsberger. He was originally from Frydek-Mistek in what was then Austrian Moravia and practiced law in Vienna.
In 1941, Ellie and Philipp emigrated to South America. They lived in Buenos Aires until Philipp fell ill and died in 1951. He was buried at the German Cemetry.
Having become a widow, Ella returned to Vienna. By 1978 she was living on a small pension from the Anwaltskammer. This is mentioned in a letter written by distant relation Hugo Müller.
Ella died in January 1979. She was burried in the Wintersberger family grave at Zentralfriedhof, Vienna. The number of the grave is 75A/25/35.
