William was born about 1730.[1] He was the son of William Wollaston[1] and Elizabeth Fauquier.[1] He passed away in 1798.[1]
The detail from Burke's Landed Gentry[1] reads as follows:
Mr Wollaston died in 1764 (though 'Cambridge University Alumni, 1261-1900' has the death in 1757!) and was suceeded by his son, William Wollaston esq. of Finborough, b. in 1730, sometime colonel of the Eastern Battalion of Suffolk Militia, and MP for Ipswitch. This gentleman married Blanche, sister of Sir Thomas Hyde Page, but dying without issue was succeded by his brother Frederick Wollaston
