Colonel Richard Nason Woodley was born 12th September 1875.[1] He was the son of Francis Woodley, J.P. and Jane Nason. He was educated at St Fauthnan's College. In January 1901, he was commissioned a Lieutenant in the RAMC. He served in the South African War (1900-02), the Great War (1915-1918) in France and Belgium and was mentioned twice in despatches.
Richard married Ailsa Margaret Healey 10th February 1926 at St Fin Barr Cathedral, County Cork, Ireland.[2]
He passed away 28th September 1964. Richard is buried at Christchurch Graveyard, Coachford, County Cork, Ireland.[3]
